FAQ
What is the difference between balms and whips?
The only difference between our tallow balm + tallow whip is the texture! Balm: think butter. Whip: think buttercream. They're made with the exact same ingredients, just a different texture!
Will the balm and whip have the same consistency on my skin?
Yes! They both will melt in warmed hands to an oil that is easily applied.
How do I use Purely Vibrant tallow?
Our tallow balms and whips are extremely versatile and can be used in many different ways! On the face or body, tallow balm can be used for: dry skin, chapped lips, facial moisturizer, aging skin, eczema, psoriasis, sunburns/burns, tattoo aftercare, diaper rash, bug bites, stretch marks, acne, cracked heels, chapped lips, rashes/reactions, scrapes, scars, makeup remover, baby balm, soothing butter for breastfeeding/pumping mamas, dog safe to help with fur baby's needs too, and the list goes on!
Does tallow clog pores?
Not at all! Tallow is naturally non-comedogenic, which means that it won't clog your pores. Tallow functions as a 'natural sebum' for skin, maintaining protection and hydration - without clogging pores and triggering breakouts.
Do tallow products expire?
Yes! Our products are free from artificial preservatives, remaining shelf-stable through its own natural properties. Optimize the lifespan of your product by securely sealing the lid in between uses, storing it at room temperature (65-75 degrees), and taking measures to prevent moisture and bacteria build-up. A good rule of thumb for "expiration" is generally between 6-12 months as long as our recommendations are followed. Remember, clean dry hands only.
Where do we source our tallow?
Our tallow is rendered and purified form 100% grass fed and finished beef suet from local regenerative farms right here in East Tennessee.
What makes our tallow different?
At Purely Vibrant, we take tallow very seriously. While suet tallow is challenging to source, we've observed the remarkable impact it has on our family's skin health. A world without tallow is inconceivable! Grass-fed, ALWAYS. Cows are supposed to consume grass. However, this is impractical for industrial meat production. Many cows are given a diet of corn and grain, lacking in nutrients. Buying tallow from grass-fed cows means getting a product with higher levels of vitamins and minerals.
